Please see attached event overview.

Our goals are to connect, educate and facilitate. We are connecting Cockburn businesses with Indonesia, providing education about the free trade agreement IA-CEPA, and facilitating future opportunities to develop bilateral trade relationships with a trade delegation in 2023.

Question: Roger Cook is currently leading a delegation to Jakarta in a bid to “deepen Perth’s economic ties with Indonesia with State Development, Jobs and Trade”. Was the City aware he was going to be there this week?

Answer:
The City was aware of the Deputy Premier’s delegation.

Question: Is he going to be making any representations on your behalf?

Answer:
No. The State Government’s delegation has a broad scope across multiple state-wide industries. The City’s inaugural digital exchange will be much more targeted, focusing on business development and investment attraction in the marine, education, cybersecurity, health and agribusiness sectors between Indonesia and the City of Cockburn.
