Join the City of Cockburn to immerse yourself in a day of nature. Enjoy guided walks, participate in interactive workshops and learn about your local ecosystem.
Secure your spot by registering quickly for these activities. Don't miss out on this fantastic opportunity to embrace nature! Sign up for a guided walk, hands on acitivity, or just pop down and have a chat with the Sustainability and Climate Change team.

8-9.30am Guided Walk  Join our friendly bush maintenance team for a relaxed morning walk in your local patch. Get to know the reserve and meet the knowledgable people behind its upkeep! All ages Free Register for Guided walk
9.30-11am Nature Storytime Trek  Explore the wonders of nature through stories, bushwalking tips, and sensory exploration. It's a fun-filled experience that combines the magic of storytelling with the beauty of the great outdoors. 2-5 years Free Open 20 March

11am-12.30pm Quenda Detectives Learn about Kwenda (our local bandicoot), how to identify them and how to spot signs that they have been active in your area. Then test your new knowledge by putting your observation and detective skills to the test exploring Kwenda evidence around Boodjar Mooliny Reserve. 4-7 years $5 Register for Quenda Detectives
1-2.30pm How to save a species:Turtle-tastic Citizen Science Learn about the challenges facing our local species of freshwater turtle and find out how citizen science volunteers are helping save it from extinction! If you have your own smart phone bring it along so you can use Turtle-SAT (with permission of your guardian/carer).

2.30-3.30pm Boodjar Biddi (Bush Track) Guided Cultural Walk Learn about Nyungar perspectives on nature, wildlife, and the relationship between humans and the environment. All ages $5 Open March 2024
