Teddy's big day out

Every Teddy Bear who’s been good is sure of a treat today. There’s lots of marvellous things to eat and wonderful games to play – and that’s just the start.

Join us for a Teddy Bears Picnic at Manning Park on Wednesday 14 October from 9.30am-1pm. Dora the Explorer will lead an interactive live dance party, plus you can meet your favourite characters, enjoy lots of free activities and make memories with your favourite teddies.

Event Highlights

We’ve got adventures galore lined up for you, with so many fun activities to take part in. These are designed especially for babies, toddlers and preschoolers aged 0-5 years. 

  • Dora’s Dance Party: An interactive live dance party with Dora the Explorer.
  • Roving entertainment: Stilt walkers and superheroes.
  • Sensory play: Make your way around 12 Teddy themed activity stations, including Sensory rice, Playdough table, Perspex painting, Crazy soap and foam, Oobleck tea party, Vanilla moon sand, Baby sensory station, Teddy tea time, Teddy bear craft, Jelly blocks, Spaghetti tea party, and Water play channels. 
  • Play areas: Soft play areas, Big blue blocks, Dino bones, Giant LEGO block, Musical walls, Bouncy castles, Obstacle courses and slides, and Toddler zones. 
  • Interactive zones: Pony rides, Sensory play, Giant bubbles, Energizer zone, Inflatable obstacles and slides, and Toddler zones.
  • Meet and greets: Local Volunteer Bush Fire Brigade, Cuddly Animal Farm, Bobby the Bin, and Rock & Toddle.
  • Creative activities: Face painting, Craft activities, Bubbleology, Hello Baby, and Community toy swap.
  • Froggy’s Fun on the Green: A free, family-friendly outdoor play session.
  • Stall holders: Community and parenting information, support services, and other family-friendly stalls.
  • Aboriginal services and cultural play: Ninni Ningyaans Sand Tracks Table, Kep Barna Sensory Table, and interactive storytelling sessions.
  • Teddy Bears Picnic space: A cozy corner for our tiniest guests! Bring your teddy and enjoy a relaxed morning tea space, perfect for a quiet break between activities.

Carnival rides and games ($)
Along with the huge array of free activities, there will also be a selection of carnival rides and games available for an additional cost.

  • Friends of the Community: Discounted Teddy Bear lunch boxes
  • Juice Station: Juice 
  • Mr Goz: Gozleme 
  • Skewerz: Signature fried skewers
  • Yummy Kingdom: Coffee, dessert, cheesy toast
