Sensory Bags

We’re making City events more welcoming for everyone.

The City of Cockburn, in partnership with the Youth Disability Advocacy Network (YDAN), has undertaken targeted community consultation to strengthen accessibility and promote inclusivity at community events.

The outcome? Travelling sensory bags designed to support people with sensory access needs and help reduce barriers to participation. Because everyone deserves to feel included, supported, and able to enjoy what our community has to offer.

Our brand new sensory bags will be available to borrow (free of charge) from the information kiosk at Cockburn Sun Sets.

There are four sensory bag options available:

  1. Tactile
  2. Audio
  3. Visual
  4. Build Your Own

Each bag includes a range of sensory tools, with a primary focus on one key sensory input, allowing people to choose the supports that best meet their needs!
