Join professional creative, award winning poet, publisher, and author Sally Newman as she presents two creative writing sessions for International Day of People with Disability.
You can attend one session or both.
Session one: Your story matters
10am - 12pm
If you ever imagined writing a short story about yourself or want to learn why story writing is important, then come along to this interactive, creative writing, group workshop.
Session two: Sharing your story with the world (publishing your own book)
2pm - 4pm
This workshop is led by Sally Newman, a multi faceted writer and producer, with a strong connection to developing projects that are inclusive for all.
1. Learn how your story can be published.
2. Find the right audience for your story.
3. View award winning short films produced by Sally, based on the stories of real people
4. Write your very own narrative, following an easy step by step guide.
The session is for anyone who wants their story to become a reality. Participants can see Sally's published anthologies and take part in a Q and A session at the end of the workshop.
*Each participant has the option to be published FREE in Irene's Window (First Line Productions next anthology) using the narrative we will write in this workshop
**Participants will require a carer or scribe to support them if they do not have capacity to write or type independently.
