Cockburn Central Activity Centre Strategy

The Cockburn Central Activity Centre Strategy confirms the vision for Cockburn Central and details the key actions required to support the maturity of the centre. The strategy covers a number of actions to manage and support the growth of the area. The action plan in the Strategy Documents area below summarises the outcomes and key actions of the strategy.

Structure plans are adopted for most areas within Cockburn Central and it is not the intent of the strategy to override any adopted structure plan. The intent is to provide broad strategic long term guidance to ensure a consistent approach across the activity centre area and to guide any further structure plans or structure plan amendments.

The strategy builds on the surrounding structure plans guiding the development of:

• Cockburn Gateway Shopping City;
• Cockburn Central West;
• Cockburn Town Centre;
• Cockburn Central North (Muriel Court); and
• Cockburn Central East.
