Budget

$18.7m

The implementation of the Bibra Lake Master Plan commenced in 2009 and will finish in 2023/24, subject to annual funding. The total cost is $18.7m.

In 2020/21 the City undertook extensive revegetation including fencing on the eastern side of the reserve. This included the translocation of over 100 grass trees which were relocated from developments in Wattleup. Revegetation and maintenance activities will continue to take place in 2021/22.

As further funds become available, signage upgrades and artwork will be installed and investigations will continue into ways to protect and increase the turtle population in the lake, which will include the installation of a turtle underpass on Progress Drive.
