About the event

Join us and one of our favourite MC's Christina Morrissy for our annual Australia Day celebrations!

You can also park your bike safely and for free with secure bike parking and get a bike check-up while you're there.

Activities in the park

  • Free sausage sizzle (while stocks last)
  • South Coogee Volunteer Bush Fire Brigade demos
  • Multicultural food available to purchase on-site
  • Free Balance Bike Academy workshops inc pedal and balance bikes for kids 3-8 yrs (8-10am)
  • Free massage from Wellness on Wheels for those who ride their bikes to the event (8-11am).
On the beach
  • Mermaids 
  • Sandcastle building competition. 

Food and drink vans will be available on-site for you to purchase from.
There will be extra unnmanned bike parking from 8am to midday at the tennis courts.


This is an accessible event with accessible parking and toilets.

Road closures and parking

Powell Road access closed 6am to 1pm. Parking for this event is opposite the beach off Cockburn Road and at Coogee Hall off Howick Court. Access to Coogee Beach Cafe and regular beachgoers parking is via Peri end through Orsino Bvd. The City of Cockburn apologises for any inconvenience that this event may cause.

City of Cockburn events are subject to change or cancellation. Water rides/amusements have been removed to reduce queues and allow for more space. Remember to scan the QR code when entering the event. The City will provide hand sanitising stations and safety marshals at its major events until further notice.
