8.05am Welcome to Country with Marie Taylor
8.20am Speech by His Worship the Mayor Logan K Howlett JP
8.20am Speech by Australia Day Ambassador Shelley Taylor-Smith
8.30-9am Binjareb Middars Dance Group
9-9.30am Chilli Con Curly 
9.30-10am Watermelon eating competition
10-11am Bradley Hall Band
11am-midday Down Town Band

Activities in the park
  • Free sausage sizzle (while stocks last)
  • Free water amusement rides and slides
  • Basket Weaving
  • South Coogee Volunteer Bush Fire Brigade demonstrations
  • Multicultural food availabe to purchase on site
On the beach
  • Mermaids from 10am-midday
  • Sandcastle building competition 8-11am 

Valet bike parking will be available and BikeWise will also be holding a Balance Bike Clinic and free bike check and tunes.

Remember to bring:
  • Sunglasses
  • Hat
  • Sunscreen
  • Water bottle
  • Bathers and towel
  • Cash - as there are no EFTPOS machines.

Road closures and parking
Powell Road access closed 6am to 1pm. Parking for this event is opposite the beach off Cockburn Road and at Coogee Hall off Howick Court. Access to Coogee Beach Cafe and regular beach goers parking is via Peri end through Orsino Bvd. The City of Cockburn apologises for any inconvenience that this event may cause.
