Very Important Volunteer (VIV) program 2021 Participating Business Competition

The City of Cockburn Volunteer Resource Centre (VRC) is holding an exciting competition for all businesses that currently participate or register for the 2021 VIV program.

This will run in conjunction with the lead up to National Volunteer Week (NVW) – 17 to 23 May 2021, to further promote the VIV program and thank the local businesses who generously support Cockburn’s volunteers.

There will be two categories:

  1. Previous 2020 participating business that have already renewed 
  2. New business that joins the program by 5pm 31/3/2021
The winning business of each category will win:
  • ¼ page advertisement in the Cockburn Gazette on either 13 or 20 May 2021 – valued at $340 each
  • A Social media post promoted through The City of Cockburn Facebook Page, Cockburn Community Facebook page and Instagram account
Terms and Conditions
  • New businesses must be located in Cockburn and complete a business agreement form before the closing date

  • The competition closes on 31/3/2021 at 5pm, no late entries will be accepted

  • Each advertisement will consist of a maximum 100 words, business logo and one high resolution image, must include the VIV program graphic and a quote from the businesses stating why they support the program

  • This will need to be sent to the VRC by the 15 April 2021, to be included in the appropriate Gazette edition

  • Failure to meet the deadline may result in an alternative business being chosen

  • The advertisement will be designed by The City’s Corporate Communications team

  • All 2021 participating businesses will automatically be entered, if you do not wish to be included please email by 30 March 2021

  • Winners are to be chosen via automatic online random picker by VRC staff and will be notified as close to the closing date as possible

  • The City is not prepared to enter into negotiations on how the winner is selected or when the advertisement will be placed
