Friday 2 October:
Fremantle forward-mid Hayley Miller
will achieve a Freo first when she plays her 100th AFLW game on Sunday, in a Western Derby clash with the West Coast Eagles at Leederville Oval.

A record 25 community organisations across metropolitan and regional WA will receive grants of up to $10,000, while others will receive refurbished laptops, as part of Synergy's 2026 Community Giving Fund. 
WA Wildlife and the Wetlands Conservation Society will receive funding while Bibra Lake Scout Group will receive a refurbished laptop.

Friday September 25:
Fremantle and Cockburn are continuing discussions on potential Grand Final celebrations, amid calls from Fremantle business leaders for any premiership celebrations to include the club’s traditional home in Fremantle.

Fremantle coach Justin Longmuir is adamant the Dockers’ time will come and they will come out the other side stronger they pick up the pieces in the wake of their crushing AFL grand final defeat.

City of Cockburn Urban Forest Supervisor Logan Vickers (AKA the Lorax) discussed the importance of retaining dead “habitat trees” for wildlife on ABC Radio’s Saturday Breakfast show, from 1:18:20.

Environmental historian Professor Andrea Gaynor highlighted the importance of retaining urban bushland and discussed the significance of the City of Cockburn’s 900 hectares of bushland, plus regional parklands including Harry Waring Marsupial Park, from 2:43:20.
