Thursday 21 May:

Wednesday 20 May:
The Fremantle Dockers will play AFL Women’s home matches at the Club’s Cockburn headquarters for the 2026 NAB AFLW Season, in a move set to support future growth and elite standards for the program.

The masterplan, which was endorsed by the City of Cockburn at its Ordinary Council Meeting on 12 May, involves the development for recreation, education and community uses in a three-stage approach, including the achievement of hosting AFLW home matches at the facility for the upcoming season.

Two schools located near a homeless camp in Hamilton Hill have raised safety concerns after a student was allegedly attacked by a woman known to stay at the abandoned warehouse.

Cockburn’s Wetlands Centre is calling for volunteers to help plant thousands of native species this winter. The centre is running a series of community planning days around the Bibra Lake Reserve in May and June as part of its Thriving Wetlands, Thriving Community program.
 

A reduction in bins along Cockburn’s beaches has resulted in less litter from beachgoers, according to new data.
