Question: At the October 8 meeting of the WAPC Statutory Planning Committee, it was said the city was assessing a retrospective planning application for Christmas Trees of Hammond Park. Is this correct? If so what stage is at eg when is it likely to come to council.
Answer:
The application for a retrospective agroforestry proposal (Hammond Park Christmas Trees) is currently being assessed. The City does not have an indicative timeframe for when the application may be determined.
 
Question: Is it correct it has been operating without approval? If so how did the city become aware?
Answer:
Agroforestry (a Christmas tree farm) is a land use that has not received prior approval.
The City became aware of the operation during assessment of the Local Structure Plan.
