Fairground faves still available, but healthy options too

Healthy food and drinks at major events
The key aim is to encourage the provision of healthy food and drink choices at major events funded by the City.

The focus is on encouraging vendors selling meals to include some healthy food options. It does not apply to specialised food vendors, selling ice cream/coffee or fairground food/treats.

The City is providing expert assistance to Cockburn-based food vendors, so that they can get onto the Healthway Healthy Food Vendors list, if they wish to.

Vendors on the Healthway list typically sell a range of food and drinks including a number of healthy options.

It is expected that as the number of food vendors on the Healthway list increases, there will be more of these vendors at major events funded by the City but for the foreseeable future, food vendors from outside Cockburn and food vendors who are not on the list, will not be excluded from being invited to attend these events.
