What are the fees and charges for keeping a boat at the Port Coogee Marina? How is access to the boat pens and marina amenities controlled?
Fees and charges include:
- An annual, monthly or daily licence fee determined by pen size, paid in advance
- Electricity Charges is on-charged at the current commercial tariff
- A one-off security bond, paid in advance, refundable upon departure.
Water, sullage disposal/pumpout , trolley use, rubbish disposal and recycling are included in the licence fees.

The Marina's gatehouses and amenities are automated and activated by electronic swipe cards. Each pen licensee receives two swipe cards.Are overnight or weekend short-stay licences available?
Additional or replacement access cards are available at a charge of $25 each.
Contractors can register with marina management and receive a (1) access card for a fee of $50. All contractors must complete a site specific induction and provide insurance details. Please contact Marina Management to book an appointment.
Yes, we welcome short term stays and visitors. We offer water, power, sullage disposal/pumpout and private shower facilities therefore we are a great place to stay for cruising visitors.What security is in place at the marina?
Short-stay licences are available from as little as one day's duration. Please contact the marina office to book short term stays.
Secure gatehouses control access to marina jetties. Jetties are well lit and only penholders and registered contractors possess access cards.Can I live on my boat at the marina?
The CCTV network covers the jetties, waterways and boardwalk area. Security guards patrol the facility nightly.
Unfortunately Port Coogee Marina doesn’t allow liveaboards.Can I refuel my boat at Port Coogee?
However, pen holders can stay overnight on their boats for up to 20 nights per year.
Can i fish in the Marina?
The Marina fuel facility, located on the Service Jetty, opened November 2018. Diesel and Premium Unleaded Petrol are available to local and visiting boats between 6am and 7pm daily. The facility is closed overnight.
The fuel system is operated by Baileys Marine Fuels, and an account with Baileys is required to dispense fuel; on-the-spot cash or credit card fuel purchase is not available. For further information visit Baileys Marine opens in a new window

Can i fish for sharks?
There is no fishing, or crabbing in the marina, including spear fishing.
There is a small fishing jetty on Chelydra Point that is the sole location for fishing in the waterways. This jetty is also wheelchair friendly

Does Cockburn have pet friendly beachs?
Fishing practices which attract large sharks that could pose a risk to human health are prohibited in Cockburn, under the City of Cockburn (Local Government Act) Local laws 2000.

What beaches can dogs access?
Dogs can access the following beaches off-leash:
C. Y. O’Connor Beach north of South Fremantle Power Station to the Catherine Point groyne
Jervoise Bay dog beach facing south to the Henderson shipbuilding area, accessible via Jervoise Bay Cove road.
What beaches are prohibited to dogs?
Woodman Point between Ammunition Jetty and south around the point to Jervoise Bay dog beach
Ngarkal Beach at Port Coogee Marina
Chelydra Beach between the northern end of Port Coogee and South Fremantle Power Station.
