The City's Emergency Management Plans

The aim of the City's Emergency Management Plans are to prepare for any possible emergency affecting the City of Cockburn community.

Emergency Risk Management Plan

The City’s Emergency Risk Management Plan describe emergencies that are likely to occur, defines roles and responsibilities within the community, list resources, and coordinate operations and activities. The Plan also identifies any agreements between local governments and emergency management agencies.

The process of preparing emergency management arrangements enables a community to identify potential problems and develop possible solutions. It will enable a community to react faster and more effectively, especially during the critical early hours of an emergency.

Bushfire Risk Management Plan

The City’s Bushfire Risk Management Plan identifies key areas and assets at risk of bushfire and recommends actions to respond to those risks. The Plan outlines treatment recommendation on Crown Land, prescribes a tier level treatment strategy, Fire Control Order use on private and commercial land and bushfire awareness through increased community engagement.

Animal Welfare Plan

The City’s Animal Welfare Plan focuses on the efficient and effective management of animals, and coordination of animal welfare support services before, during and after an emergency event.
