 Get hands-on with Australia's fascinating reptiles. Meet snakes, lizards, and turtles while learning about their unique adaptations and survival skills. Perfect for reptile lovers and curious minds, this exciting and educational encounter will change the way you see these incredible cold-blooded creatures
Step into the heart of the Aussie outback and meet some of Australia’s most iconic animals. From Emus and Birds to Wombats and Dingos, get up close with these incredible creatures while learning about their habitats, behaviours, and conservation needs. 

 Students learn about the turtle's features, habitat and learn about the "Save Our Snake Necked Turtles" initiative and create a clay turtle keepsake. This comprehensive experience fosters a genuine appreciation for conservation while empowering young minds in hands-on science.
Students will they dive into the rich cultural heritage of the Nyungar Six Seasons, passionately merging it with botanical knowledge and a visit to the community native plant nursery.
In this activity, students will participate in hands-on habitat restoration at Bibra Lake by removing invasive weed species to support the health of the bushland ecosystem. We'll explore the importance of healthy ecosystems, including how wetlands are connected to coastal and marine environments and support biodiversity.
Explore how artificial reefs help protect our coastlines and support marine life, then design and build your own reef using LEGO!
Dive into the weird and wonderful world beneath the waves! In this engaging session, students will discover some of the ocean’s strangest and most fascinating creatures through a short talk led by Ocean Discovery Education’s marine educator. This is followed by an interactive experience where students can get up close with live marine animals and explore an extensive collection of real ocean specimens – an unforgettable hands-on experience that sparks curiosity and a deeper appreciation for marine life.
What do you know about plants? Often pushed aside for the cute critters, plants play a crucial role in our ecosystem. Join Bel Cox exploring the role of plants in Nyungar culture, for medicine, food and wellbeing. Students may even get a tasty treat!
Learn all about our local Indo-Pacific bottlenose dolphins, living right here in the Swan Canning Riverpark! Deep dive into dolphin biology and anatomy and develop your dolphin identification skills. Find out what threatens them - and how you can help protect our dolphins and contribute to citizen science projects.
Get ready to travel through time - with rubbish! In this fun, hands‑on activity, students become waste detectives as they sort everyday rubbish along a timeline to discover how long different items take to break down. Along the way, they learn how litter can travel from parks, lakes, and rivers all the way to the ocean - and how this can harm wildlife.
This session reinforces positive behaviours, showing how avoiding items like balloons and glitter near waterways helps protect our ecosystems.
