Question: Are CoSafe and city rangers aware of someone throwing axes at Dubove Park?
Answer:
Yes. CoSafe and City Rangers are aware of reports of axe throwing at trees in Dubove Park. We have received public reports, including photographs showing damage to trees. The City immediately reported the matter to WA Police.

Question: What are they doing about it?
Answer:
A mobile CCTV trailer will be deployed at the park to help deter this behaviour and capture evidence to support any investigation.

Question: Do you know who it is?
Answer:
No, the individual responsible has not been identified.

Question: Is it illegal?
Answer:
Yes. Damaging City trees breaches the City’s local laws. Based on the photographs received, the incident may also amount to criminal damage under the Criminal Code. The City has reported the matter to WA Police for investigation.
