About the event

Do you want to have a more sustainable house, without having to move or build a new one? Do you want to use living plants to cool your home?

In this interactive workshop with Ecoburbia will teach you about the principles of basic solar passive design and how you can use those principles to save gas and electricity in your home. Many low or no cost actions will be covered in depth, with a focus on what you can plant to make a difference!

You will leave with some great ideas to reduce your environmental impact and those power bills.

About the WA Tree Festival

Trees are crucial for wildlife – they provide shelter, food, and habitats for countless species, all while helping to cool our environment and improve our wellbeing. The WA Tree Festival brings together local councils and community groups across the state to celebrate the vital role trees play in supporting wildlife.

In the lead-up to and throughout the festival, we’re hosting events and initiatives focused on greening Cockburn and protecting local wildlife.

The WA Tree Festival runs from 12 April to 10 May across WA.

From raising awareness about how trees support wildlife to creating connections with nature, discover an event near you and help make a difference for our local wildlife!
