SIDESPLITTER - Comedy and Arts Festival

20 - 23 October 2016

Memorial Hall, Cnr Carrington St and Rockingham Rd.

Cockburn's first comedy and arts festival! Experience the belly laughs from artists such as Sammy J, Nick Cody and Greg Fleet as well as some other comedians that will have you in stitches!

Bibra Lake Fun Run

23 October 2016 (9am)

Bibra Lake Reserve, Progress Drive, Bibra Lake

Take a 6km stroll, brisk walk or run around the idyllic Bibra Lake with family and friends. It's free to enter and for those really keen runners who would like a 'timed-run' you can register here.

 

Teddy Bears Picnic

26 October 2016 (10am - 1pm)

Manning Park, Hamilton Hill

This event is bigger and better each year with new things to do and see and lots of live entertainment plus information for parents and carers.

Performances by Murphy High School (USA), The Lulus and Goldie Locks and the Three Bears plus other activities include:

Cockburn Rotary Spring Fair

30 October 2016 (11am - 8pm)

Manning Park, Hamilton Hill

Join is this year for a psycadellic-themed Spring Fair. There will be lots of free, family fun including:

  • Rides and stalls
  • Sideshow alley
  • Wrestle-mania
  • Hypnotist Matt Hale live on stage
  • FROSH Youth Fest and
  • Fireworks from 7.30pm

Australia Day Coogee Beach Festival

26 January 2017 (8am - 12pm)

Coogee Beach Reserve, Powell Rd, Coogee

Celebrate Australia Day Cockburn-style and enjoy a free sausage sizzle on us! Plus there's free entertainment for the whole family including a watermelon eating and sandcastle building competition and rides.

Don't forget to bring sunscreen, hat, sunglasses, water bottle bathers and a towel and some cash as there are no EFTPOS/ATM facilities available.

Parking and Access

Parking is limited on the day so please consider public transport. Powell Road access closed

5am 1pm; parking for this event is opposite the beach off Cockburn Road and at Coogee Hall off Howick Court.

Access to Coogee Beach Caf and regular beach goers parking is via Peri End through Orsino Boulevard.

 

Cockburn's Got Talent

C'mon Cockburn, show us what you've got! Calling all amateur entertainers to be part of Cockburn's Got Talent.

  • Information on parenting, health, childcare and Cockburn Early Years
