On August 10, 2023, the Minister for Planning made a decision that the area will become an urban area in the future.
In accordance with Local Government Act 1995 section 3.59, public notice is hereby given that the City of Cockburn proposes to enter into a major land transaction which is the expansion of the facilities at the Cockburn Aquatic and Recreation Centre (Cockburn ARC) at 31 Veterans Parade, Cockburn Central. A business plan assessing the major land transaction has been prepared and is available for inspection:
