Hire a sporting reserve

Please see the City's Venues for Hire page for information on hiring sporting reserves, parks and other reserves (non sporting).

Use of pegs on Council reserves

If you are using a Council reserve and need to peg equipment into the ground – like soccer nets, baseballs bases and marquees – please use plastics pegs.
Metal pegs can be a hazard when the reserves are mowed, as they leave sharp shrapnel on the ground. There have been incidents where people have been seriously injured.

If plastic pegs are not an option, please make sure the metal pegs are painted in a clearly visible colour. To collect plastic pegs for your sporting club or community group please contact our Recreation Services Team.
