Roemmele Ariane

Roemmele Ariane

Growing up in a crafty and creative family who were always making something, Ariane was fascinated watching skillful hands woodworking, spinning, weaving, patch- working, knitting inventing and experimenting. Immigrating to Australia, she followed her passion and enrolled in art school. Ariane sold work at markets, built up outlets around Australia and overseas and opened a shop in Fremantle. A customer told her to paint from her heart and whatever she painted she would sell in her Osaka Gallery. A blissful 10 years followed, Ariane went on to become a teaching artist and has taught for the past 10 years. While she experiments with many mediums and techniques she is consistently fascinated by the natural world around her and her place in it. Reusing, recycling and repurposing definitely inform the materials used.
