SmartRates and Direct Debit

The City has direct debit options for the ratepayer to pay their annual rates from a nominated bank account (savings and cheque accounts only).

SmartRates (weekly or fortnightly direct debit)

SmartRates makes it easier to manage and pay your rates:
  • Smaller, more regular and manageable payments
  • Weekly or fortnightly payments (39 or 20 payments)
  • Less administration fees
  • Never forget due dates with continuous direct debit, year after year.
SmartRates is only available on weekly or fortnightly as listed on your Annual Rate Notice. 

To implement SmartRates, please submit the application before 16 September 2020.

Direct Debit (pay in full or in 4 instalments) 

You can choose to pay in full or in four instalments as stated on your Annual Rate Notice.  Payment will be debited from a nominated bank account on the due dates below:

Option 1

Pay in full - due 18 September 2020

Option 2

Four instalments due on the following dates:
  1. 18 September 2020
  2. 20 November 2020
  3. 29 January 2021
  4. 09 April 2021
