The City introduced direct debit options for the ratepayer to pay their annual rates from nominated bank account (savings and cheque accounts only).

SmartRates Direct Debit (Weekly / Fortnightly)

You have the option to spread your payment over 22 or 43 payments. SmartRates also means less administration fees, and the direct debit continues year after year, meaning you don't have to remember to pay by a certain time.
This payment option only available on weekly or fortnightly as listed on your Annual Rate Notice.

Direct Debit (Pay in Full / Four Instalment) due dates

You can choose the option to pay in full or four instalments as stated on the Annual Rate Notice.  Payment will be debited from your nominated bank account on the below due dates:
Option 1: Pay in Full due on 24 August 2018 
Option 2: Four Instalments:
  • 1st Instalment due on 24 August 2018
  • 2nd Instalment due on 26 October 2018
  • 3rd Instalment due on 4 January 2019
  • 4th Instalment due on 8 March 2019
