Parking and Parking Facilities Amendment

No 1 Local Law 2021

Notice is hereby given in accordance with Section 3.12(6) of the Local Government Act 1995, that the City of Cockburn Parking and Parking Facilities Amendment No 1 Local Law 2021, was published in the Government Gazette No.35 on 19 February 2021.

The purpose of the local law amendment is to remove the requirement for regulating vehicle parking in the district to be “by resolution” of Council only. The effect of the amendment is that the function of administering the regulation of vehicle parking in the district will be capable of being formally delegated by Council.

The City of Cockburn Parking and Parking Facilities Amendment No 1 Local Law 2021 will become operational as of 5 March 2021. The local law will be published on the City’s web site. A copy of the local law can be inspected at or obtained from the City`s Administration Office at 9 Coleville Crescent, Spearwood, during office hours.
