Notice to Amend The City Of Cockburn Local Law Relating to Standing Orders 2016

Notice is hereby given that the City of Cockburn has resolved to amend the City of Cockburn Local Law Relating to Standing Orders 2016 pursuant to Section 3.12 of the Local Government Act 1995.

The purpose is to expand the method of voting at Council Meetings to allow for greater flexibility and transparency of Elected Members and to attend to a minor drafting error.

The effect is to provide for an electronic voting facility to be used by members when voting at Council Meetings.
A copy of the Amendment Local Law opens in a new window may be inspected and obtained from the City`s website, or at the City of Cockburn Administration Office and at the City’s Libraries during  office hours. 

Submissions about the Amendment Local Law may be made  to undersigned at the City of Cockburn Office before 4pm on  7 August 2020.
