Cat Sterilisation Subsidy

The City of Cockburn offers a subsidy to low income earners and pensioners for the cost of cat sterilisation. This subsidy applies to microchipped and registered cats only. About the cat sterilisation subsidy

The City of Cockburn offers a subsidy of $50 towards the cost of cat sterilisation for eligible residents. You must meet the following criteria to be eligible for the subsidy:

  • If your cat is over six months old, it must be sterilised, microchipped and registered
  • Cat owners must be low income earners or pensioners
  • You will need to provide proof of concession/pension card
  • To be given a subsidy, you must first have paid the full cost of the sterilisation
  • Your cat must have been sterilised less than 12 months before your application for a subsidy.
