Beach Trekker Wheelchair Hire

Beach wheelchairs unavailable

In the interest of public health during the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19), the City's beach wheelchairs are unavailable until further notice. The wheelchairs will be made available again when we are fully comfortable that they are safe for users.
With free hire of beach wheelchairs along the Cockburn coastline and the provision of beach matting at Ngarkal Beach, our coastline can be accessed by people of all abilities.

The Beach Trekker Wheelchair can be hired for free from the Coogee Beach Surf Lifesaving Club, Poore Grove, Coogee. The Beach Trekker wheelchair is NOT a floating wheelchair and must be used with the assistance of one adult. The wheelchair is restricted to use on sand up to the waters edge.

How do I hire the wheelchair?

Too hire, contact the Coogee Beach Surf Lifesaving Club on 08 9494 1433. The hire of the Beach Trekker is subject to the availability of the Coogee Beach Surf Lifesaving Club volunteers.
