The Family Day Care Services Parent Handbook provides information about family day care and its educators. It contains useful information for parents about the service as well as how to develop a good relationship with the Child Care Educator.

Parent handbook

The City of Cockburn’s Family Day Care (FDC) Service Handbook provides information for parents about the Service and the FDC Educators who work in a contractual relationship with the FDC Service. The handbook includes:

  • Information about FDC within the Approved FDC Service, the Service, its staff and Educators;
  • Information to support parents in regards to selecting a suitable Educator for your child;
  • Settling their child into the care;
  • Developing a working relationship with their child’s Educator and Child care Service.

Policies and procedures

The Family Day Care Service policies and procedures manual provides information for parents and educators. The manual is a working document, with ongoing regular review to:

  • Meet the legislative requirements of the Education and Care Services National Law (WA) Act 2012, the Education and Care Services National Regulations (2012) and the National Quality Standards for Early Childhood Education and Care and School Age Care 
  • Support the effective and efficient management of the City of Cockburn Family Day Care Service (“the Service”) and the appropriate use of its resources.
