eRates Competition Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions apply to the Cockburn eRates Competition which has been issued by Cockburn Gateway Shopping City, 816 Beeliar Drive, Success WA 6164. This competition is open to all residents and businesses who pay rates in the City of Cockburn local government area (entrants), in Western Australia. 

  • The prize pool is made up of:

    • Major Prize: 1x $5,000 Cockburn Gateway Shopping City Voucher 

    • Bonus Prize: 1 x $1,000 Cockburn Gateway Shopping City Voucher

‚ÄčThere is a total prize pool of 2 prizes to the value of $6,000. If a non eRates ratepayer is drawn, the $1,000 Bonus Prize will be void. The prize can only be taken as supplied and cannot be exchanged or modified.

  • The promotion commences at 9:00am on Friday, 23 July 2021 and concludes at 5pm on Friday, 27 August 2021.

  • Prior to entering the competition, it is assumed that all entrants have an understanding of the terms and conditions. 

  • To enter, entrants must complete their entry form, which will appear (post or electronic) in their City of Cockburn 2021/22 rates brochure, alongside their rates notice, and place it in the competition barrel at the Information Desk at Cockburn Gateway Shopping City. The rates brochure will be sent to them via mail, or as a PDF electronically with their eRates.

  • The competition barrel will only be accessible during the Information Desk operation hours as notified by Cockburn gateway Shopping City.

  • Personal details will be used for reference purposes only and will not be kept, stored or given to a third party.

  • Cockburn Gateway retailers, management, their staff, associated agencies and their immediate families are ineligible to participate in the promotional giveaway. City of Cockburn employees are eligible to enter. 

  • The draw will take place at 10am on Monday 30 August, at the Information Desk at Cockburn Gateway Shopping City. 

  • Cockburn Gateway Shopping City will contact the City of Cockburn to confirm the entrant’s eligibility to enter the competition, and whether the entrant is an eRates resident.

  • Should the City of Cockburn confirm the entrant’s eligibility to enter the competition, the drawn entrant will be determined the winner and awarded the Major Prize.  Should the City of Cockburn confirm the entrant is an eRates resident, the winner will also be awarded the Bonus Prize. 

  • The winner will be contacted by phone by a representative at Cockburn Gateway Shopping City. The winner will be invited to Centre Management at Cockburn Gateway Shopping City, to collect their prize.

  • Should the City of Cockburn deny the entrant’s eligibility to enter the competition, the drawn entrant will be determined disqualified and a redraw will take place. This process will continue until a winner is determined.  

  • If the drawn entrant is confirmed eligible for the competition by the City of Cockburn but they are not an eRates resident, the Bonus Prize will be void, and not issued.

  • The winners release from, and indemnify Cockburn Gateway Shopping City, Perron Investments Pty Ltd and JLL against, all liability, cost, loss or expense arising out of acceptance of any prize(s) or participation in the promotional giveaway including (but not limited to) loss of income, personal injury and damage to property and whether direct or consequential, foreseeable, due to some negligent act or omission or otherwise.

  • Cockburn Gateway, subject to State regulations, terminate this promotion at any time at its absolute discretion without liability to any contestant or other person.

  • The centre’s decision will be final, and no discussions or correspondence will be entered into.
