Coogee Beach Caravan Park lease

The City of Cockburn's response to PerthNow Cockburn on 15 December, 2021 about the Coogee Beach Caravan Park lease

Question: Will the City continue to work with Discovery Parks/G’Day Group on the relocation of impacted residents?
Answer:
The Draft Lease between the City and Discovery Parks, compels Discovery Parks to use reasonable endeavours to work collaboratively with any affected permanent residents of Coogee Beach Caravan Park during the redevelopment, in order to provide them with various relocation options.
This is a condition of the redevelopment plan, and the City will provide the final approval on the redevelopment plan, on the basis that all relevant conditions are met.

Question: Does the City know when and where the impacted residents will be moved to?
Answer:
The City cannot provide specifics yet – these will depend on the redevelopment plan, the subsequent negotiations with the residents, and other factors that are to be assessed on a case-by-case basis with each of the affected residents.
