About the event

Join the global movement that helps millions of people be part of the solution to plastic pollution, by taking part in Plastic Free July opens in a new window

This Plastic Free July long table morning tea will show you that delicious treats can be made without all the nasty plastic waste. Come along to share a fun and friendly long table morning tea with your community, all dietary requirements will be catered for.

You will also be joined by special guest, Maryline from Kito Plastics, who will show us the whole life cycle of plastic waste; where it comes from and the resources it takes to create it, where it ends up and how we can move to a circular economy to reduce plastic waste pollution. Sustainable prizes to be won during this fun and interactive morning tea.

After the morning tea you will have the chance to visit the Skipping Stones refillery trailer, where you can purchase environmental and locally-made products without the disposable plastic packaging. Bring jars or reusable containers to fill up with whatever you like. From local olive oil, to bubble bath, to laundry detergent, the refillery has it all!
