About the event

Join us for free morning tea and learn about Australian society and getting involved in your local community.

Auspire - The Australia Day Council WA and City of Cockburn, are pleased to provide this opportunity to attend a FREE Civics and Citizenship workshop, proudly supported by the Office of Multicultural Interests and presented in partnership with the Constitutional Centre and the Electoral Education office. The session will cover:

  • The Australian Constitution

  • How the Australian parliamentary system works

  • Australia’s levels of Government

  • How to vote

  • Information about the benefits of community participation

  • Information about various programs that recognise positive community contribution

This workshop may be beneficial to those who are wanting to attain Australian Citizenship. Participants will also receive a Certificate of Participation.

The workshop is free but bookings are essential for catering purposes.
