Values at work Awards

Nominate a City of Cockburn employee for of the City’s five values.

Every person in every team is working towards a common goal: to make Cockburn a great place to live and work.
Our values shape the way we deliver our services to our community.

What is [values] at work?

[values] at work is the City’s newest employee values award program. It recognises team members who make it their business to ensure our residents have a positive experience every time they access a City service.

Maybe it was personalised customer service, a safety initiative, keeping costs low and demonstrating sustainability, being accountable and admitting an honest mistake, or just plain old fashioned excellence.

Nominate a City of Cockburn employee for one of the five values and tell us why they help make our City such a fantastic place to live and work.
We love to give credit where it’s due – if fact, we encourage it!

Our five values

  • Customer Service

Do you have someone in mind who consistently delivers exceptional customer service and always seeks to understand customers' needs? They may also champion improvement and proactively seek ways to increase efficiency, complete tasks on time, within budget and to the highest quality.

  • Accountability

Honesty and accountability. Does it ring a bell? We are looking for people who demonstrate high ethical standards mentor colleagues confronted with an issue which may have an impact on the City’s accountability.

  • Excellence

We love to see staff strive for excellence and advocate a positive image for the City.  If you know someone who is committed to doing their best and delivering on time, we want to hear from you.

  • [safety]

It is our business to make our workplace and our community safe. We want to hear from you if you know someone who continually seeks to improve safe work practices in their work area.

  • Sustainability

Our decisions may have natural, financial and social implications. If you know someone who is passionate about reducing the impact on the environment, is committed to achieving best financial practice and provides value to the community and saves money, we want to hear from you.
