The Manning Park Master Plan was endorsed by Council in December 2018. The total estimated costs for the plan's actions over a 10 year period is $7.25M.

In 2020-21 the City has been undertaking the following:
  • Removing old, irrelevant signage
  • Installing new directional, interpretive and educational signage
  • New seats, tables, chairs and bin enclosures
  • Replacing all BBQs and drink fountains with universally accessible designed BBQ’s and drink fountains.
The City is also preparing the new design for the car park adjacent to the Manning Stairs to improve the safety of those using the stairs. The total cost of works for 2020-21 is $487,000.

The draft concept design for the proposed mountain bike trail network was recently opened for public comment. The design received significant community interest and was viewed over 10,000 times. Following the feedback period, the City is seeking to undertake further work with the community to review the concept, in the form of a working group.
