Get Wild About Wetlands

8, 10, 12, 15, 17 and 19 July Various times

Get Wild About Wetlands is a series of environmental activities held for families during the school holidays. All events held at The Wetlands Centre, Cockburn - unless otherwise specified.

Book your family in for a range of events these holidays with all events only $5 per child. Adults are free, however please book an adult entry ticket for all adults attending. For all events you and your children are required to wear trousers (long pants) and closed in shoes.

Creepy Crawlies

Cost: $5
  • Monday 8 July, 10am - 11.30am
  • Create you own upcycled creature with REMIDA
  • Suitable for ages five - 12 years

‚ÄčPainting Totems and Wildlife 

Cost: $5
  • Wednesday 10 July, 10am - 12noon
  • Create a masterpiece with Noongar artist Sharyn Egan
  • Suitable for ages 5 - 12 years

Weird Water Science

Cost: $5
  • Friday 12 July, 10.00am - 11.00am
  • Dscover the magical properties of water with Science Alive
  • Suitable for ages 5 - 12 years

Messy Moments

Cost: $5
  • Monday 15 July, 9.30am - 11.00am
  • Let your little one explore their senses through creative play, themed with frogs, snakes and other wildlife
  • Suitable for ages 2 - 4 years (younger children are welcome)

Secret Life of Dragonflies

Cost: $5
  • Wednesday 17 July, 10am - 12noon
  • Discover all there is to learn about these amazing invertebrates and create one of your very own to take home
  • Suitable for ages 5 - 12 years

Tree Planting

Cost: $5
  • Friday 19 July, 10am - 12noon
  • Help restore part of the Beeliar Regional Park planting for bandicoots and an array of other wildlife
  • Suitable for all ages
 

Please wear long trousers and closed in shoes for all events. Bring a hat too for tree planting. Remember your drink bottles.
