Council's Parks Services maintain and develop 20 parks throughout the City to provide community facilities for both active and passive use. Many of the parks include play equipment for different age groups, half court basketball areas or sporting facilities.
Each year funds are allocated on the budget for works to improve parks within the area.

Public Notice: Lead levels in playground equipment
A report released as part of the Esperance Cleanup and Recovery program in late February raised concerns about lead levels in some of the towns playground equipment. Media reports suggested other playgrounds across the State could also be hazardous, especially where equipment is more than 10 years old. The Department of Health (DOH) believes the risk to public health is generally low, however following advice from DOH residents can be assured the City has taken the necessary steps to ensure its playground equipment is safe.
