The City of Cockburn is continually reviewing a program for the future establishment and upgrade of street lighting in existing and developing residential, rural, industrial and commercial areas, in accordance with Council's current Street Light Policy AEW 3.
This program is to provide a consistent method of seeking additional street lighting within the City of Cockburn, according to need, with respect to the provision of street lighting in areas zoned Residential, Special Rural, Rural and Industrial/Commercial, with consideration for more frequent occurrence in certain special circumstances.
Any requests for new works or services in areas under Council control should be directed to the Chief Executive Officer in writing by 30th March each year. This will allow the item to be considered for funding in the next financial year. The Local Government financial year is from 1st July to 30th June.
