Walking Groups have been pounding the City of Cockburn pavements and bush tracks for a number of years. In 2008, the City of Cockburn joined the Heart Foundation Walking (HFW) program. HFW is Australia's largest network of free community-based walking groups coordinated locally by the City of Cockburn. These free and social walking groups are based in various Cockburn suburbs and walk each week at various times.
With the supervision and guidance of a trained Walk Organisers, the walks provide an excellent opportunity for residents to improve their physical and mental health and well being
