Cultural Celebrations of Significance 

Cockburn Rotary Spring Spring Fair 

Where: Manning Park, Azelia Rd, Hamilton Hill

When: 6th Nov 2011, 11am to 8pm

There is a Chinese theme to this years Spring Fair, to acknowledge the Citys links with Sister City Yueyang, and celebrate 2011 as the year of Chinese culture in Australia.

There will also be an emphasis on participation, with Sedgways, Poi making, and open toy-box circus workshops; drumming and dance workshops; trapeze flying, kite making, bush fire games and a full programme of entertainment.

As a pilot Waste Wise event we aim to reduce, recycle and reuse, with a variety of activities involving recycled materials.

About the Rotary Spring Fair

Held in October/November every year. With attendances each year of up to 10,000 people this fair is a popular community event.

To celebrate our cultural diversity and our relationship with our Sister Citys the Spring Fair will on a rotational basis focus on one of our City Sister cultures each year.

Cockburn has a sister City relationship with :
Split in Croatia, Mobile in America, Yeuyang In China

Are you :

• A craftsperson/artist who wants to sell your handmade goods
• A Community or sporting group who would like to fundraise
• A local cultural performance group or
• A Local small business that would like to promote your business

Then the Cockburn Rotary Spring Fair is for you! Stallholders are required for this event and for a small cost you can sell, fundraise, perform or promote your business to a large market.

Is lack of Insurance an Issue? The Spring Fair committee has organised insurance to cover uninsured stallholders.
