The following Children's Services are provided in Cockburn:

City of Cockburn's current Children's Services plan for children aged 0-12 years is a 10 year plan covering 2001-2011.
The review reflects input from children and individuals from community, government agencies and business gained through a veriety of mechanisms including brochures, questionnaires, public and individual meetings.
A summary of current policy directions for Commonwealth, State and other policy setting agencies was undertaken. A number of policy and philosophical changes occurring within Children's Services have been outlined in the report. These collectively create a window of opportunity to enhance the quality and availability of services for children within the City of Cockburn.
The review found that City of Cockburn Council (the Council) currently provides a substantial number of Children's Services including before and after school and vacation programs as well as sponsorship of the Family Day Care Scheme and an early education intervention program for children in the region. There was much positive feeback about these services, as well as Council's unique initiative to successfully link education providers and parent associations with the city's Children's Services in regular informtion exchanges.
The plan is currently being renewed for the next 5 year period.
