Aged and Disabled

The City is committed to ensure that Cockburn is an accessible and inclusive place for people of all abilities, their families and carers to live in.

The City recognises that people with disabilities are valued members of the community who make a variety of contributions to local social, economic and cultural life.

  • Support Services for seniors that are frail and younger people with disabilities are delivered by Cockburn Community Care based at the Jean Willis Centre, on the corner of Healy Road and Ingram Street in Hamilton Hill.
  • Disability Services are provided as part of the implementation of the City's Disability Access and Inclusion Plan 2007-2012.
  • The Disability Reference Group was formed to enhance opportunities for people with a disability and their representatives to exchange information and communicate their concerns on access and inclusion issues within the City of Cockburn.
